Kata Tjuta
Kata Tjuṯa is a group of large, domed rock formations or bornhardts located about 360 km southwest of Alice Springs in Central Australia. Kata Tjuta is sacred to the local Aboriginal Anangu people, who have inhabited the area for more than 22,000 years. This image was taken very late one afternoon with the setting sun and a very deep blue sky. I was rushing back to my vehicle before the light faded as I had miscalculated my return route. Another colour landscape image can also be located in the Central Australia Gallery.
My panoramic images are printed on archival 300gsm cotton rag paper and finished with an acid free white mat; a glass window and a timber box frame. Each print is matted then mounted at the back of the frame all ready to hang.
