Welcome to the Geoff Birrell Gallery where I capture the beauty of my world using my paint brush and my camera.

 

I have been painting in some form for over 50 years. All my paintings are completed by me in my studio on the beautiful South Coast of NSW. I am an intuitive painter. My works are abstract and are mostly completed using multiple layers of paint to create depth and complexity.

 

My art formed a significant part of my formal education until I decided that a steady income and job was more important than an artists lifestyle. Little did I know that art would return to my life when the call of the corporate life became less important to me.

My photographic endeavours began much later than my art.  With over 20 years of photographic experience I collaborate with one of the best printers & framers in Australia to ensure the highest quality for my customers.
